Daniel Egneus invented the “Quotidiano-Straordinario” style of illustrating, which he describes as meaning "the everyday wonder" (Egneus, 2011). His drawings are typically done though pen, ink, watercolor, acrylics, and pencil. He also frequently incorporates silhouettes and typography into his art, as is seen on full display in his magical edition of "Little Red Riding Hood". His work often features ample amounts of color, sharp lines, and edges throughout, and his art quite frequently has a deliciously ominous tone. He incorporates lots of color contrast into his illustrations, which are vivid and full of life and movement. His style pairs well with his content, which is frequently fairytale oriented. However, in addition to being a children's book illustrator, he illustrates many different types of content, including fashion and portrait-based works.
